From the Beginning

Founders

​

Kiddin' Around Coppell was founded by two Coppell mothers, Debbie Williams and Gina Jones who recognized the need for a safe and fun place for kids to be. They realized that there was no place that they could drop their kids off, where they could be rest assured that they were being cared for by someone loving, who had childcare experience. They wanted a place where their kids could interact with other children in a fun environment, in their neighborhood. They opened the doors of Kiddin' Around Coppell in August and 2000 and has been under new management since 2014. It has been our greatest pleasure to be able to serve thousands of kids who have since come through our doors.

Director: Jyoti Masurekar

Jyoti is a licensed child care director and certified in early childhood and elementary education. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 15 years and has been with the company since 2004, working with children in various staff positions. Jyoti has a Bachelor's Degree and has been working with children overseas and in the United States for over 35 years. Her philosophy is using age-appropriate practices in early childhood development, recognizing that each child is unique, and ensuring that every child that comes through our doors is loved and cared for. Her leasdership drives us to be the best child care in the area and really sets us apart. She is loved by both kids and parents for her dedication to the children. She has lived in Coppell 2002 with her daughters.

Staff

Kiddin' Around requires staff to be cheerful, enthusiastic, respectful, fun, and encouraging towards all children. They must obtain at least 24 clock hours of childcare training annually, pass criminal history checks and be CPR and First Aid certified. We take pride in our staff being active participants in you child's adventure at Kiddin' Around. Most our staff being moms themselves know what it takes to raise kids...a lot of love and patience. Some of our younger staff bring in new energy and the kids love playing with them. A few of our employees have come to Kiddin' Around as kids themselves and it says a lot when they chose Kiddin' Around to come back to for their first job!
